The community of Brasilito contributed to the success of the Free Wheelchair Mission in Costa Rica

 Production Line Sets International Record!!!

That's 100 wheelchairs in 3.5 hours, yes that's right, one hundred wheelchairs were assembled and received by residents of the beach towns in Guanacaste.

Forty volunteers worked very hard to make this happen.

Handicapped children were given the gift of mobility - some for the first time

Asssisting adults and children to live a full life is the mission of the non-profit Doit Foundation

The day was highlighted by many rural neighbors arriving in ambulances as well as flat bed cattle trucks to receive the great new chairs. Several people from neighboring farms arrived in the back of a cattle truck on foam mattresses, having never had wheelchairs and unable to walk.

Wonderful to see them with mobility!

The most touching moment of the day was the arrival of Estefan and his grandmother, Denia Pasos.

Estefan was one of the first recipients of a donated wheelchair. Due to a congenital condition he was unable to walk. He had a successful surgery about a year ago and is now walking and attending school and has a normal life. However, Denia, his grandmother no longer is able to walk. What a sight to see Estefan pushing his grandmother Denia in her new wheelchair!

Entire families have been helped by the Doit Foundation of Costa Rica

A joy to see that he can walk, and a wonder that working together we can make a difference in various generations of one family in our community.
